Looking for housing for my son who will be released as soon as we find a good address
I am the mother of a sex offender in Cherokee county. My son has been living with me for about seven years. He was arrested about 5 years ago for a probation violation which was a minor violation. He had a job at the chicken plant in canton and was excelling at his job, built up a good credit score, bought a car. He is a valued resident of our little community which is mostly elderly ladies and has made friends and helps a lot of the elderly residents by fixing things for them. He had to leave his job that he worked at and had several promotions after working there for four years. Now, he is being forced out of his home with no where to go. Could someone please explain to me why this is happening to him because if he wanted to go to the park that is a little less than 1000 ft. He could just jump into his car and go there. It seems that the county doesn’t want him to succeed. It also seems that it is a money maker for the county by sending him to counseling and for what? If y’all thought counseling did any good then you would give him a chance! You all know already that you aren’t going to give him a chance no matter how good he does. I am 74 years old and I need for him to live with me and help me out. Since y’all are throwing him out of his home could you please recommend a place for him to live? Has anyone thought this through? None of this makes any sense to me or anyone else that I know.
