Louisiana Department of Corrections: Department of corrections reentry program for the state of Louisiana.

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana Inc. – Goodwill’s Re-Integration Program (G.R.I.P.) offers skills training and enrollment to eligible participants who were released from the Louisiana Department Correction, Federal Prison System or City/Parish prison within the last 7 years.

Health Care for Re-Entry VeteransHealthcare for Reentry Veterans (HCRV) is a service designed to address the community Reentry needs for Veterans within 6 months of release or 4 months post release from incarceration.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Reentry ProgramThe Reentry Program includes intervention strategies that will help deter the recidivism of offenders. The approach will help offenders in acquiring services needed to become law abiding, productive citizens within their community. While participating in the program, offenders reside at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Work Release facility. Upon completion of the Reentry program, clients maybe transferred to Work Release status if authorzied by La. Department of Corrections.

Louisiana Re-Entry Court Program – The Re-Entry Program in Louisiana focuses on a seamless stream of services to offenders from the time of their entry to the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola to their transition into post-incarceration society.  Re-Entry Court allows nonviolent “short-timer” offenders to serve their sentence under the guidance of offender mentors, many of whom will be at Angola until they die.  With a strong commitment from Warden Burl Cain, these “lifers” teach younger offenders life skills like anger management, parenting, and managing finances.  Theses life skills will supplement the educational component where offenders learn trades such as automotive and small engine repair, carpentry, welding, culinary arts, horticulture, drywall installation, generator and HVAC repair, commercial painting, masonry and plumbing.

Veterans Housing Outreach – Veteran Housing Outreach’s mission is to help veterans re-gain control of their lives so we can eliminate homelessness among veterans. In many cases, Veterans Housing Outreach actually saves lives and reunites families. We aim to remain a leading provider of services that improve the lives of veterans and their families by providing the highest quality services; and continuing to create new opportunities in the areas of employment and housing. Philosophy: Veterans Housing Outreach operates according to the philosophy that veterans have earned the respect and gratitude of our nation and that in return VHO shall provide them with the supportive services they need. Our philosophy is summed up with the phrase: We must provide the veterans services needed to become whole.

Values: Veterans Housing Outreach pledges the total commitment of its resources to veterans and their families, by providing: Direct services or referral to all veterans and/or their families who request assistance, Emergency assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Housing Veterans , both transitional and permanent, to homeless veterans and those at risk of being homeless, Job enhancement skills, job search skills and individually advanced training for improved employment opportunities, Advocacy on a local, state and national level to help address the needs of the veteran population, Remember the sacrifices that veterans have made so that all could live free.

One Touch Ministry Reentry Housing Program – One Touch Ministry (OTM) is dedicated to the reduction of recidivism by providing housing, food, clothing, employment readiness and assistance, and counseling to recently released ex-offenders. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, we strive to ensure that ex-offenders who complete the program have all the tools necessary to become law-abiding and productive members of society, through spiritual guidance, education, life skills programming, and mental health counseling.
